Day 9: write about happiness
Hey, I didn’t realize I have this topic! I already talked much about happiness on Day 2 instead of telling exactly about “things” that make me happy. Well, let’s see what I can say more about happiness.
Been living 20 years ++, I am done with having an interpersonal relationship issue with anyone, literally anyone. I just don’t want to have any conflicts (which is impossible, I know). Being serene, living with myself is the best idea so far. To the fact that actually we also don’t need to compete with others. Don’t get that wrong. It doesn’t mean that we just need to give in when we need to win in a competition, to get promoted at work, and similar cases. The thing is in our mind. So, bear in mind that it's enough to keep moving in a forward direction, that is to say only focusing on our own personal (and probably professional, too) development, without competing with anyone. We are competing and comparing ourselves with our own (old) self. I got that idea from the book that I read a couple months ago, again it’s The Courage to Be Disliked.
“To truly understand the meaning of happiness is to not live to satisfy your expectations, but to make everyone our comrades in life. No competition, no ill will.”
All in all, chillax... Happiness comes from within.
More quotes:
“Happiness is also related to being mindful. The issue is not the past, but here, in the present.”
“There’s no value at all in the number of friends or acquaintances you have. Think of the depth of the relationship.”
